White is my favorite color- it really is. It's clean, crisp, and the perfect backdrop for any and everything. When you have white walls, there are plenty of ways to bring in color with fabrics on upholstery, pillows, or window treatments, but remember to look up. The ceiling is a surface that is often forgotten about, but can be used to your advantage with a quick coat or two of paint. I've always loved the seafoam green that is commonly painted on the ceilings of outdoor covered porches. After some investigating, I discovered that people painted ceilings this color to trick bees into thinking that it was the sky above them rather than a roof to make them less likely to build there nests in the eaves or hidden nooks and crannies in your woodwork. Why no take it inside?
