Growing up on the south shore, I have always felt a connection to the coast. Mini sunset cruises on the power boat, beach walks and biking are some of my favorite ways to get out into nature when the weather is good, and it is so fun to have local artists who can capture the essence of these cozy beach towns through a brush or photograph.
One of my favorite artists, Bettina Lesieur can do just that. Her landscape paintings are the epitome of coastal charm and every time I look at them, I can't help but be swept to her serene landscape scenes. We had the pleasure of meeting a few months ago when I was searching for something special for a local client, and ended up chatting for hours. It turns out that her family is from Italy, and we shared our experiences traveling the country and all the food, sights, people, and craziness that comes along with it.
This Friday, Bettina is throwing an opening gala at her studio on Saint George Street in Duxbury. There will be a wine tasting and pottery exhibition, as well, but the main event is Bettina's newest and award winning art. The event kicks off a weekend of open gallery hours.
